If you have ever read 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' by Steven Covey, you are somewhat familiar with the concept of moving from Dependence to Interdependence.
The group here at Financial Life Consulting (Harper and Associates and Reliable Property Assistance) is a profoundly opulent group. They not only read materials like Covey's book; they try daily to live it.
As a result, we have a group of highly powerful interdependent people. (Interdependence is the ability to be self-driven and contribute as an independent party, but knows how to interact with a team. This causes exponential growth for the group as a whole because each party is advancing quickly toward a common and helping the others advance quickly. It is amazing to watch.)
We have observed lately that we were moving slower than we were capable of and getting results below what we were attempting. It stumped several of us individually. How can a group of such advanced minds be bogging down?
Well, through a series of serendipitous events, the group dispersed somewhat to take on separate projects. (We were still working toward the same goal. We just needed to specialize for a season.)
What this led to was an explosion of personal power. Each individual began shining in new ways. Each individual began producing at a whole new level.
Chad, a true strategist, observed just recently:
It was necessary that for us to achieve goals Interdependently, we had to spend a season achieving goals Independently. How funny that we shot straight for Interdependence, but skipped right over the Independence step.
Now the group is merging back together more cohesively. We are all moving at a pace that is virtually breathtaking. From the acquisition of properties and the placement of tenants, to creating seminars and presentation material, to putting together an IRA investment program, now that the group has taken the time to be an independent mind, we can better understand how to be an interdependent master-mind!
